Người anh hùng, Linh Mục Văn Lý!
Cha biết không ? Cha phạm lỗi lầm
Đảng, Nhà nước muốn cha... câm
Sao cha vào mạng, nói ầm ĩ lên ?
Rằng thế nào là nền Dân Chủ
Thế nào là bầu, ứng tự do ?
Cử tri dồn hết phiếu cho
Người tài, người đức để lo nước nhà!
Dân chủ là tự do đi lại
Trước pháp luật không hại đến ai
Đền, chùa lễ bái dài dài
Câu kinh tụng niệm, hát bài thánh ca!
Cũng dân chủ, phố phường hội họp
Hoặc cá nhân bàn chuyện riêng tư
Không cần dè giữ ngôn từ
Sửa sai phường khóm rùa bò, quan liêu!
Dân chủ cũng được ra báo chí
Nói thẳng thừng lại hí hoạ thêm
Tham ô, nhũng lạm, lền khên
Phải khui cho hết, dưới trên đàng hoàng!
Dân chủ cũng tự do buôn bán
Tự kinh doanh, phương án lập ra
Đừng buôn thuốc phiện, cần sa
Là đều hợp pháp, ai mà hỏi chi!
Dân chủ cũng đa nguyên, đa đảng
Tránh độc tài - độc đảng trị dân
Xưa nay nẩy mực, cầm cân
Cán cân công lý năm phần lệch nghiêng.
Nên thiết lập hành, lập, tư pháp
để cùng chung kiểm soát lẫn nhau
Lo cho nước mạnh dân giầu
Dân không no ấm, nước đâu phú cường?
Dân cũng cần một nền học vấn
Chứ không vì lấn cấn miếng ăn
Cả đời vũ dát, ngu văn
Bảo sao nghe vậy, ngu dân ngàn đời!
Đại để Dân chủ là như vậy
Còn độc tài trái những điều trên
Cha vừa nói chút đỡ ghiền
Bịt mồm cha, tống vào miền tù lao
Vững tâm, vững chí anh hào!
Tự do Thế giới khi nào bỏ cha
Độc tài sắt máu yêu ma
Trước sau cũng bể thành ra đống bùn!

Dear Father Ly,
You know you made many mistakes!
The Communist Party and its government want you to be a deaf-mute.
You’re using the internet to communicate with the whole world!
That’s the democratic way.
In a democracy people may run for any office,
And registered voters can elect candidates to serve the nation.
Democracy promulgates freedom of travel and freedom of speech to its citizens.
With religious freedom, people can attend a temple, pagoda or church to worship their God!
Or gather together for political or social events without fear of reprisal.
Citizens can even criticize political figures, and initiate the recall of unsatisfactory officials.
Democracy allows people to publish a newspaper or a magazine,
To discus all social topics, including the corruptions and malfunctions of the government.
Democracy encourages us doing our own businesses.
Citizens can establish new political parties to have more voices in the Congress,
And to avoid monopolized Party and the tyranny.
We usually have a lot of injustices in our society,
So we establish a three - division of government,
They’re the Legislature or lawmaking Congress,
The Judicial branch which includes the Supreme Court and all lower courts
Interpreting the laws to be sure they do not violate the Constitution,
And the Executive branch, headed by the President and his cabinet.
This is a threefold system of checks and balances,
To ensure that liberty and justice for all remains efficient and not just an unobtainable dream.
Education for all is a major goal for a democracy. It’s the hope for the future,
For no nation can be strong, prosperous, progressive and peaceful,
where igrorance and poverty are widespread.
These are just some main points on the great picture of democracy.
In contrast, tyranny is the antithesis of democracy previously discussed.
You just talked about democracy for you really loved it,
You were immediately imprisoned for five years.
Father Ly, however, don’t be discouraged!
The Free World never abandon you.
We all know that the dictatorial regime, sooner or later, will be totally destroyed.
